Provider moves from our clinic - still in the drop down "From" in Documents

Provider has moved from our clinic - There is currently no way we can remove her from the drop down in the Document section. *So essentially important results could be misfiled to the physician that no longer has access to our program.* Accuro staff recommend we put in a request here to make it possible that providers can be removed from sections we are no longer needing them. We have a lot of temporary physicians - covering for our permanent physicians, or filling in physician Maternity Leaves - all whom need their own user etc in Accuro. We could end up having a lot of red names at our list if they are not removable.

Honestly, if a provider moves from a clinic, they should be able to be removed, in all sense of the word - as if they've never been there, with their chart notes/messages remaining in the program.

As the initial issue reported in this submission has been resolved, I have marked it complete. For the additional change request indicated, I have created https://ideas.qhrtech.com/ideas/ACC-I-7755. Thank you!

Good call out Melanie. We have flagged to our developers that removing Visibility from the permission templates removes a physician from the Outstanding Requisitions, Referrals and Orders report. For anyone who has cleared out their ORRO report, or not using it though, removing the visibility is still the recommended process to remove a provider from Accuro.

Lauren - that is the process our office followed but we found that when a provider was not "visible" we couldnt see all of the information linked to them in a patient's chart, specifically the "Outstanding Requisitions, Referrals and Orders", if a locum sent a referral then left, and we marked them as invisible, we couldn't see their referral. Makes it hard to follow up on outstanding referrals.

    Thank you for your response.

In regards to being able to send documents to an inactive provider - we
can still do that. It obviously does not send it to her "inbox" but it
files it and just adds a NEW and No in the Reviewed column. This could be
dangerous in the fact that things may be misfiled to a physician no longer
checking her results (as she left the clinic).

The from section does though, allow you to choose a provider that inactive.
If we update our address and change a provider to inactive, they should no
longer show in places where we can select them as an answer - such as this
From section (the Fax as well) OR at very, very least, they should show in
Red font, as our whole clinic is aware what it means if a provider is red
in the demographics. It should be red everywhere that it shows up.

I'd love to show you what exactly I am meaning, and show you in our system.

    Thank you for your time,
    Amy

There seems to have been some confusion on this ticket. I have asked that the support team contact you back about this.

If a provider leaves your office, our process is to remove the Provider Permission of "Visible" only on this physician. What this means is that all EMR items, like past notes, documents, forms, previously scheduled appointments, lab results, etc will still be available to view in a patient chart. But, you won't see the provider's name in any dropdowns, like in the Documents section.

See the screen shot in the attachments. The 2 Care Coordinators are not "visible" but all the other items are selected. This is how to properly remove a provider who no longer works at your office.

You do mention the "From" dropdown though. There is an optional From field in the Documents section to indicate who a document is From. This populates from the Address Book. So if you are referring to this field then as long as the provider is active in the address book they will still be visible in the From field when filing documents. But this will never send a document to that provider's inbox. The From field is strictly to indicate where a document came from.
