From a workflow perspective having a date field next to status/primary provider fields allows for fewer 'clicks' or screen changes to enable reporting on verification of patient status without going to the Status History tab/window as part of patient panel identification and maintenance. Alternatively, being able to use the <PATLASTUPDATEDATE> in the query builder would also allow for this to be reported when the Update Patient button at the bottom of the demographic screen is click. The former would be more precise as the latter would be related to any update rather than just validation of the patient's current status and/or primary provider.
Do you mean beside Patient Status and Office Provider under the "Patients" tab?
