In our office we have workstations deployed with DYMO LabelWriter 450 Twin Turbo devices, which are essentially the same as your recommended labeler, the DYMO LabelWriter 450, but have two label rolls which have two different sizes of labels in them. They have a left and a right roll, the left roll has the DYMO 30252 Address labels that are required for Accuro and the other roll has DYMO 30333 Small labels that are used with a separate inventory control software that we use.
The way these rolls are exposed by the printer driver is essentially the way that different paper trays are exposed with a conventional laser printer. These paper types are properly set-up — Windows printer properties shows the two available media types — and both the DYMO Label Software package provided by the manufacturer and the inventory control software that we use provide a way to select which roll we want to print with. Accuro, however, sporadically prints to a random roll, meaning that it frequently prints to the wrong side and wastes several of the smaller labels. A call with your telephone support representative confirmed that there is no way to tell Accuro which roll we want to print with on either a default or per-label basis.
We are in the Accuro ASP environment so the situation is of course likely made doubly complicated by Citrix printing/the Tricerat software, but we are hopeful that we can reach an acceptable solution. We have deployed a temporary workaround for now but we would like to see proper support for the different models of DYMO printers in the Accuro software.
