Some patients have multiple appointments scheduled in advance. It would be much better to have the 'notification of appointment' generate based on the day/appointment being viewed.
Currently, to generate a 'notification of appointment' on a future date, the forms DOS must be changed to the date in question which in turn links that form to that appointment. HOWEVER, this becomes a problem when appointments need to be edited or cancelled. When a form in linked by DOS, it is not possible to edit or cancel the appointment until that form is then unlinked!!
This does not happen for patients who only have 1 appointment as the form DOS doesn't get linked, it just generates and saves to chart. So no problems editing or cancelling appointments in that scenario.
