Currently we use an online BMI calculator and manually enter the result to the patient's chart. Would be easier if there is a quick action button available for BMI calculator (eg: Framingham risk calculator). Thank you
If you are manually entering the height and weight of a patient at the same time, this should be automatically calculated. If it is not, make sure that the "BMI (Optimed,Numeric)" lab value exists in your system. If it doesn't, create it as a text type and you should be good to go. It is case sensitive so I suggest copying what is in the quotes and pasting it during lab value definition.
BMI calculates automatically when you enter height and weight into Vitals.
