Adjust the ability in group appointments to save different insurer providers and not revert to default anytime something is saved in the appointment.

Hello,

We currently use the Group appointment function for our co assessments with our medical team and allied health (Physiotherapy). As you are aware, physiotherapy is not covered by GOV and so that portion of the appointment has to be paid privately or via third party. When you create a group appointment, it creates the claim under GOV as the default. If you change the claim and save it as either third party or private pay it will display as such. HOWEVER, if you go into the appointment after and then click OK it will reset the billing insurer to GOV. This is problematic as often we send invoices out or mark an invoice as paid and now it is displayed as the invoice is paid by insurer GOV.

I had an outstanding ticket for 4-5 months with Accuro Help to look into it and I was just contacted today to tell me that the function is working as intended. She suggested adding a popup note to the appointment to say when closing the appointment, only click the X on the top of the screen or cancel. The issue with this work around is if you have to add notes, you will not be able to save at all. Also I am sure you are aware of popup fatigue (its a real thing lol).

So my suggestion, when a group appointment is created set the claims details as default however, just like all other appointments, allow that detail to be changed and not reverted after the fact. This will make the product more user friendly for allied health care providers.

I hope I explained this well enough, if you have any questions please call me at 403-265-3838 extension 2710.

Thank you for your time
