Prior to submitting the daily/unsubmitted claims, we perform a mini audit to ensure all modifiers are added and correct before submission. Due to the variety of app't types throughout the day and evening and the addition of the new fourth modifier AP=phone/virtual it is even more important to us check claims before submission. We often have one or two billing clerks working on different facilities ie; office and nursing home. Currently to audit modifiers before submission you have to perform multiple clicks and open each claim line and close again,which is time consuming. In presenting this issue to Accuro, techs advised to cross reference the modifiers on the Assesments tab ...BUT this information is after submission. If you are faced with corrections, you must send the money back and re-billing the claim, more time wasted. Before submission you should be able to review all columns on one sheet.
