Have deceased patients not included when building a query and even flagged when brought up in a patient search.

When I am building a query the deceased patients are listed. I also noticed that they do not pop up as deceased when I am searching for them.

    Admin response

As long as you use the checkbox in the Patient Demographics to mark a patient as deceased, there will be a global message pop up when selecting the patient.

It is also recommend for a System Administrator to set a default status for Deceased patients. This is done in the Accuro Menu > Users > Manage Security > System Settings > General > "Status for Deceased Patients". Click 'Save Settings' to update the setting for your system.

When building a Query, you can either create a rule to exclude the Deceased patient's by their status, or in the Rule Category " Demographics", choose the Decease sub-category and constrain the rule to say "Deceased = False".
