When creating a Query, I would like to exclude deceased patients from the generated list.

When generating a query for patients within a specific age range, I would like to exclude deceased patients. This is necessary so that when generating a list for patient mail outs, it would be inappropriate to send a mail out to deceased patients.

    Hello,

You can exclude deceased patients from your Query results by adding a rule to do so. For example, if you wanted to generate a list of patients that were over 65, excluding deceased patients, you could build your rules as:

    • Age Older That 65 Years AND Deceased = False

This is basing the Deceased status on the "Deceased" checkbox in the Patient Demographics. You could alternatively build a rule around a "Deceased" patient status, if that is what your clinic is using.

If you would like assistance with this workflow, please contact the service desk at 1-866-729-8889; a Client Services Analyst would be happy to help you.
