Chat

One of our employees suggested putting a chat line into the system. Rather than using emails (physicians do not always tend to emails when they are with patients), we could pull up the chat option and it would be a more efficient way to forward urgent messages to physicians such as urgent lab results, informing physicians when patients are late, if there are emergencies that a physician needs to tend to. It would also prevent the physicians from having a significant amount of emails to tend to. I know in our office this would save a significant amount of traffic going back and forth through the office, especially with a large number of physicians in the office.
