Currently it is only possible to replace an existing form background via the image component generated after a PDF is converted, and as an image type, not with another PDF.
Tools > Form Editor > Load form > R/C image component square in upper left > Edit
- we can click the <...> button to select a new image file to replace the background with
- it is not currently possible to replace it with another PDF
It would be more convenient to be able to do this through the component, or through another button action, rather than either having to convert the PDF beforehand, or create a brand new form.
I also agree. The background image as a PDF is not as distorted as a JPG of TIFF file. Also, the process of having to convert the PDF files is a nuisance.
100% agree. sometimes agencies change 1 or 2 things on their form and won't accept the old form, and it is so much work to re-map forms. (case in point, CRA's disability tax credit forms)
