Setting up children and spouses is tedious and demands time from front office staff. I suggest::
Allow existing Medeo patients to set up accounts themselves, after providing the date of birth and PHN. The patient being added to Medeo must already exist in Accuro.
The relationship between the enroller and enrollee, such as "Spouse: Spouse", "Parent: Child" and "Guardian: Child" must be specified and would link the accounts.
If the enrollee already has an email account registered with Accuro, advise the enroller that "An existing email address is on file for this patient. If you proceed, an email advising them that you are enrolling them will be sent to that address. Do you wish to proceed?" 'Yes"/"No"/"Yes, but I Will Provide a Reason for not Sending a Notification" option click buttons in the dialog.
If a reason is given, send that as an email to the clinic and proceed anyway.
If no email is on record for the enrolee, ask if they have one (has to be different from all email addresses on Accuro). If they do, have it recorded in the enrollee's demographics.
If no existing email is given, guide them on setting up an alias account based on the email provider that the enroller has. Truly marvelous would be the option to auto-generate an alias for them. If that is too difficult, at least open a new window at the email providers set-up-an-alias page.
