We've just adopted Medeo as a trial during the COVID-19 pandemic at our group's practice of 5 pediatricians. This lack of functionality is handcuffing our ability to implement use of the Medeo platform to its full ability. It's a glaring omission when you see there are numerous overlapping ideas that have been posted all relating back to the one patient-one email address model the developers appear to be steadfast in using.
Until they have this fixed, it's really quite inconvenient....we tell our patient's whomever is going to be the appointment scheduler for the children to set up an account with their (the parents) information, and leave the patient's name in the Appointment Reason when booking, then we accept the booking and use the Patient Relationships to link and change the patient information over. Tedious, but it works.
This request has been on the table for 2 years already and no change has been made.
Disappointed is an undertatement
At the moment, I ask the parent to book under their own name with the message letting us know who they are bringing in. Seems to work fine - Medeo allows multiple bookings so it works
A family should be allowed to create the profile of all family members under the same email address and be able to select the family members (especially children) when booking an online appointment. Currently, the family relationships are created in Accuro and the parent booking for a child will have to put in the relevant information in the Appointment Reason (the instructions of this have to be in the Medeo Appointment Type description in Accuro) and Staff have to call the Online Booked Patient to get the information of the Duplicate Bookings. Creating the Family Members in the Medeo Profile of a single email address will be a smart way to make it easier for families to be able to book online appointments for their family.
