Hello,
Using the <Medical History> option in the Letter Generation window attaches the desired history items as a part of the default Introduction per provider that can be configured in F2, but there are other ways that a patient's medical history can be brought into the letter body, and after the clinical note content.
Add a Query: Tools > Template Wizard > Templates > Select or Create a template > Put your cursor in the body of your note, where you would like the information to appear > Click on the Query icon (blue speech balloon) > Medical History > Set desired parameters > <OK>. This will create a single tag that will populate the information as outlined. This behaves the same in terms of display and content as the <Medical History> button in Letter Generation.
Add tags to a template: Tools > Template Wizard > Templates > Select or Create a template > Put your cursor in the body of your note, where you would like the information to appear > Right-click, then choose the appropriate tag options from the menu. You will need to add a tag for each history you want to see, and it will not include details or dates.
Create a macro: Tools > Template Wizard > Macros > Select or Create a Macro > Be sure to give your macro an easy to remember name, like MedHx > Put your cursor in the body of the macro > Right-click, then choose the appropriate tag options from the menu. Macros are ad hoc, so they will only appear in your clinical note if you add them in, either by right-clicking in the note body and choosing to Find Macro, or typing the name of your macro and then CTRL+Enter to make it display.
If you would like assistance with any of the above workflows, please call the Service Desk at 1-866-729-8889; a Client Services Analyst would be happy to help you.
