How often do you reschedule an appointment within the same calendar week compared to rescheduling it for a later date (e.g., the following week(s) or month(s))?
Probaby about the same amount
How likely are you to use a drag-and-drop functionality to reschedule an appointment for a date longer than a week away?
If there was an option, probably about 50% of the time
In what scenarios do you find it necessary to provide a cancellation reason when rescheduling an initial appointment?
Always
How often do you reschedule an appointment within the same calendar week compared to rescheduling it for a later date (e.g., the following week(s) or month(s))?
quite often some weeks, sometimes it is not that often.
How likely are you to use a drag-and-drop functionality to reschedule an appointment for a date longer than a week away?
not as likely, this is where cut and paste comes in handy.
In what scenarios do you find it necessary to provide a cancellation reason when rescheduling an initial appointment?
every single time.
I often times use it as a way to move between primary booking column to secondary booking column when they no-show or don't answer, as a reminder for me to try again later and then if this feature were in place I would be able to easily move and drag the appt to the appropriate time (back into the primary booking column) once I reach the patient or my MOA reschedules them. I would say I would use this feature DAILY when in clinic.

Answer to Benjamin's questions:
R/S in same week ~ 4-5 x
Use drag/drop to R/S longer than a week away: Very likely
Scenarios when needing to provide cancellation reason: physician or nurse sick, office closed
I think this would be most useful for moving appointments on the same day to a different time slot. I also love the idea of being able to move more than one appt at a time
I would love this feature! Often I just need to move a patient to a different time, or shuffle a couple of people on the same day. It would be much smoother than the "cut and paste."
both options would be great, keeping all other information within the appt intact. I would love to be able to drag and drop between providers, too.
Thank you again for your feedback! We are currently exploring the feasibility of a "Drag and Drop" feature for managing appointments and would greatly appreciate your insights on the following:

Also have the option to change the day of the appt when it is booked on the wrong day or gets rescheduled to another day.
This is a great idea, so long as when you drag and drop an appointment, the "reason" does not get deleted as does happen when you cut and paste an appointment.
Both options would be great.
Slide and past if it's the same week. but but cut and paste is nice for a new month or week out
Should be able to cut and paste via short-cut (control-C and control-V) as well as drag and drop to move within the scheduler (like ANY modern day calendar)
I would like to see BOTH options.
yes, moving/ sliding over would save so much time and effort . If you want to undo --just slide it back
Thank you everyone for the feedback!
We also understand frustration with our inconsistent response to the Idea Portal for the last little while. We have a lot of work to do! We are looking at the site daily now, and are working through the backlog of submissions to bring everything up-to-date.
We thank you for your patience.
This is a great idea but I think "UNDO" would also have to be implemented as I can see many mistakes happening from this.
Wow, Accuro's wheels turn very slow. Almost 4 year and finally a reply saying future consideration. With this pace someone just might come along with all we have been requesting for years. Especially with this reply rate.
Yay! That's an awesome feature. I have had that in other booking programs!
I hope this gets implemented!
