We are a specialists office. Is there a template (instead of a SOAP) for this type of office? macros per diagnosis would save time.

We see patients by referral for consultation. The regular SOAP does not really work with our style of note taking. It would be great to have a note area set up like hospital consultations but able to be transformed into a consultation letter when finished. Is there already a form that has been designed by a specialist? with macros that could be populated in for a multiple of recurring diagnoses? eg: CAD, chest pain... instead of having to type new for each patient? Don't feel like reinventing the wheel if this has already been designed and used by others.

    Hello,

Our forms-to-letters functionality would suit your workflows. There is some upfront work involved in setting up your form and corresponding template, but the result is being able to load a form and fill it out as desired, then generate a complete consult letter from it.

When creating your form components, you give them tag names so that the component output can be used the same as regular tags in templates/macros. Some components allow you to specify what the output can be (e.g. I check a Smoker checkbox, and when the template is generated, the text reads "Patient is a smoker." If un-selected, it reads "Patient is not a smoker.")

    Some User Guide references:

Additionally, if you search "form to letter" or "forms to letters" in the Form Publisher (Accuro Menu > Tools > Form Editor > Tools > Publish/Download), you'll find that numerous other users have published their completed forms, which are already tagged and prepared for the forms to letters functionality. Download, use, and edit these forms at your own discretion, but at a minimum these demonstrate how the functionality can be built and utilized.

If you would like assistance with these workflows, please contact the service desk at 1-866-729-8889; a Client Services Analyst would be happy to help you.
