Macro input for general assessment with pertinent findings only in final note

So my idea is based around improved documentation for patients. I want macro inputs to generate general lists including Review of systems and physical exam. There would then be a full list of options (signs/symptoms, etc.) for highlighting pertinent features to the patient. After finalizing the note only those highlighted should show up while the rest of the options not applicable should disappear as to eliminate the clutter of information. Hopefully this is a good idea to back up!

This functionality should already exist with our clickable lists. When creating your macro, your full list of symptoms would be added to a clickable list by typing them out between square brackets, separated by a pipe.

    Example:

    [fever|cough|sore throat|nausea]

Then, once you activate your Macro in a note, you can single click on each symptom to select the option that applies to your patient. This highlights each word in yellow.

Now, in the note formatting options at the top, click the last button 'Complete Selections' (see screen shot for location of button). Complete selections eliminates all of your non-highlighted words, keeping the highlighted ones and adding commas where applicable.
