Labs – option as to which date is displayed in the EMR Labs section

When you hover over the labs in results Accuro EMR they display the observation date, in some cases the collection date is the important date. There should be an option set at system level or by user to display either the Collection or Observation date. Physicians comment - From a medical standpoint the collection date is the key issue. We have a lot of patients treated with drugs where we need to know labs at a very specific time after treatment – eg. 12 days. When tracking results it is confusing (potentially harmful) to be looking at a different date than collection date as this influences the subsequent month’s doses of medication.
