CDM sheet outstanding item tally in PCQI band doesn't accurately reflect current values

in MB, we open the CDM sheets directly from the PCQI band. Often the tally of outstanding items reflected in brackets beside the name of the sheet in the band doesn't reflect the number of outstanding items in red from the open sheet. The tally reflects that in earlier versions of the CDM form in the chart, some items were completed at a previous visit. Manually entered dates aren't carried forward (though free text notes in the Comments field are), so the subsequent versions of the CDM form do not have those fields completed. The clinician would have to look for older versions of the CDM sheet in the virtual chart or in the Encounter notes tab to confirm that the current red/outstanding items have been addressed previously. This makes the tally (and the appearance) of the CDM forms unreliable and misleading--CDM forms should appropriately trigger the clinician to perform the outstanding interventions. If we can't trust the tally/CDM form colour-flagging because we don't know which items are truly outstanding, then the clinician workflow slows as each time the form is opened, the 'outstanding' item(s) would need to be done/redone. Not carrying forward previously manually chosen dates has the same effect, and the tool loses its utility as a clinical decision support tool.
