Tracking "turned away" patients for Same Day Next Day

When patients call to book an urgent appointment and the family health team or clinic is unable to offer an appointment within 2 days (Same Day Next Day), they would sometimes choose to go to a walk-in clinic. We would like to track this inside the EMR, as this contributes to the total number of patients that requested an urgent appointment and this information is needed to calculate the Patient Access indicator in the Primary Care Quality Improvement Plan. Besides tracking this externally in an Excel spreadsheet or on paper, is there something within Accuro that can be built to allow receptionists easily increment a counter for these "turned away" patients? Forms would not work because often times receptionists do not get the opportunity to ask for the patient's name before they are turned away.
