Allow for a complete coversheet when faxing from EMR

Currently when we fax directly from the virtual chart in EMR, there is an option to include a coversheet. However, there is no ability to complete the "To" on the coversheet to ensure the document is directed to the right party. As per Accuro support, there is no component to allow the Recipient selected to be populated on the document. When directing a document to an office / clinic / hospital with various departments or physicians, this would be helpful to ensure the document is directed appropriately and in a timely fashion. Currently the only option is to input manually an "Attention to" in the body of the cover letter.

    The "To:" portion of the Fax Cover Sheet is populated automatically with the selected recipient for the Fax.

    Although there is no specific component, when the text "FaxToName" is in the Name of a Label component, the Recipient is properly populated on the Fax Cover Sheet when previewing or after it is sent.

    Similarly, "FaxToPhone" populates the recipient's phone number. And "FaxToFax" populates the recipient's fax number.


    In the event of 2 or more recipients, only the first recipient is listed on the "To" line in the preview. However, 2 fax entries are visible in the Fax Manager and a unique cover sheet is sent to all recipients with their name in the "To" area of the Cover Sheet.
