QHR Product Ideas

When a provider leaves a clinic, you still have to keep template permissions set for that provider for every other user who is still at the clinic. After a couple years (for larger clinics), this means the list of providers on the Templates becomes really long, and security setup for new users is time-consuming and prone to errors. It would be preferable if somehow you could 'inactivate' providers who have left the clinic. When you inactivate them, all users would still be able to see their EMR notes, but not their schedules, inboxes, etc., but you wouldn't have to set this on the Template. It would just be intuitive. Or perhaps, upon inactivation, their name would remain on the Template for configuration, but it would be moved down to the bottom (not in alphabetical order) and the permission set would default to whatever you selected (check under EMR and Labs, no check under the other columns). That way we wouldn't have to continue setting permissions for departed providers, but we could choose to change it if we needed to (ex. if an admin staff needed to turn back on their Scheduler to look back on a historic day). Essentially, any modification to make this quicker and easier would be great. In only 8 months on the system, one of the clinics I support has had 4 staff leave, and 4 new staff come, which means their Template permissions now have over 20 staff to set permissions for.
