When I first log into the EMR, copy and paste functionality from some of the windows (Global Messaging, Medical History Bands) works flawlessly. After being logged in to the EMR for some time, the copy and paste function in these windows becomes defunct. (as an aside, copy and paste ALWAYS works in an encounter note). The user then has to exit Accuro, and sign back in, for the copy and paste function to work again, for some random duration.
It is uncertain what disables copy and paste function, but it can happen within minutes.
Our office relies heavily on our Global Message function. It allows us to identify new items to address since the patient's last visit. Here is where we store new information such as recent consultation letters, labs, images etc. It is very onerous to have to exit Accuro and log back in, to simply enable a copy/paste function. In contrast, I have NEVER had issues with copy/paste in ANY application I have ever used.
It is one of very few issues I have with this amazing and versatile EMR system. I wish QHR would invest honest effort in repairing this major flaw in basic function.
This has been corrected after longstanding back and forth with the QHR Support Desk. Praise the heavens.
I have noticed this issue as well - it is very frustrating when trying to migrate information after data transfer. My assumption is opening another pop-up window, perhaps F3 - Quick Patient Actions, the cursor is permanently tabbed out of the Citrix/EMR pop up windows. You actually have to close out the Citrix connection to reset this functionality.
We also have issues with copy+paste when trying to copy an email address or patient name and put it into Outlook (we currently do not email from Accuro). The only thing they have been able to suggest for us is to reset the receiver which is similar to what you are doing, but it didn't clear up the issue for a user yesterday. The problem is intermittent.
