Enable a way to save notes in Generated letter format without having to first print or fax

At the moment Physician notes are save without letterhead or signatures unless a letter has been generated and fax/printed. An option to save notes with their letterhead and signature would be very helpful as when we forward these note to cancer centers, as pre-op histories, or to send to other physicians would make them more professional appearing.

Thank you for the clarification, Deborah! I will update the status of the idea.

this is not what I had ask for. I need the ability to save the letter as a generated letter without the last step of “send letter”. What I need is the option to do EMR > Encounter Note> Generate letter > tick ‘Save to chart as PDF” > OK. Enabling us to have a note with letterhead and signature on the chart without having to press ‘send letter’ or ‘print’

    Hello,

It is now possible to do this with the 'Save to Chart as PDF' function.

EMR > Encounter Notes > Right-click note > Generate Letter > Tick 'Save to Chart as PDF' option > <Send Letter>

This can be done with or without a recipient applied.
