Not sure if this idea is already out there.
It would be extremely helpful if you could send replies/new conversations back to yourself.
For example I send a question to the doctor, they send a new conversation back to me with the answer and complete the task. Their answer is now going into my mail inbox. If I call the patient to tell them the doctor's reply and the patient does not answer, I now have to write a reply as "left message for pt to call back" but the doctor does not need to know this and so I remove their name from the recipient list. If I put my own name as the recipient it does not go back into my inbox. I know have to keep the last message from the doctor in my inbox to remind myself this is not fully completed. I then have to keep opening the original task to find out when I last contacted that pt. This is also a problem if I have to go into a pt's EMR open a completed task from someone else and write a message.
Not sure if this helps Pamela, but task flow in our clinic is the doctor cannot complete unless the task is actually completed.
Example, I request a refill be sent to pharmacy. Doctor adds conversation (not selecting my name) replying. This adds the message to the task.
Then the doctor changes the owner of the task back to myself so it's back in my inbox.
We do this back and forth until task completed. Also, our clinic does not use the mail function.
