When updating an appointment that has two procedure codes applied, we receive a message "As the current claim contains a macro, bills will need to be deleted to apply new appointment type defaults. Do you wish to apply new defaults" If we say yes to this message, it removes all information from the claims.
This is an issue, as in many clinics, the people doing the scheduling are not the same people as the ones doing the claims and they don't realize what happens if they say yes to this message. It is also fairly easy to press yes automatically and erase the work done.
The message displayed here is also not clear as to what will happen, especially because we weren't making any changes to the appointment type. An alternative message could be something like, "Multiple bills have been created to this claim. Would you like to recreate these claims?"
